Philosophy: Dr. Harvey's Bio: Dr. Harvey was an associate professor of clinical nutrition at Columbia College of Chiropractic and was also Director of Clinics there. He studied with Dr. John Christopher, who was the father of herbology in the United States. Dr. Harvey is an expert in the use of herbs for animals. Dr. Harvey also studied with Dr. Bernard Jensen in the early 1970’s. Dr. Harvey had a private practice in New York City for over 20 years. His practice always focused on optimal nutrition for humans and animals. Distressed by the increase in cancer and other chronic ailments in animals, Dr. Harvey decided there had to be a better way than the commercial foods that are sold to most pet owners, thus the creation of his formulations that have helped so many animals throughout the years. Dr. Harvey and his clients have seen the benefits of feeding animals naturally and without chemicals. He continues to educate pet owners throughout the United States, Japan, Canada and Europe. He lectures extensively on the health and nutrition of all creatures, great and small. In 2001 Dr. Harvey's was given an award for "Outstanding Service and Commitment To Advancing And Promoting Avian Medicine and Stewartship" by the Association of Avian Veterinarians. Dr. Harvey's wife is Wendy Shankin-Cohen an author and homeopathic educator. He is the father of three young boys and one grown daughter, one greyhound, four Italian greyhounds and too many birds to count. |
